Privacy policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Kamalito rclone is a private, personal-use configuration of the open-source rclone desktop tool, operated by the owner of the Google account connected to it. This policy explains its use of Google Drive information.

Information accessed

With the owner's consent, rclone may access file names, folders, metadata, file contents, and other Drive information necessary for file listing, backup, upload, download, and synchronization. The chosen Google Drive authorization scope may permit broader access than any individual command actually uses.

How information is used

Google Drive information is used only to perform file operations initiated or configured by the account owner. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or training AI models. No Google Drive data is sold or shared with advertisers.

Storage and transfers

Rclone runs on the owner's computer or personally administered server. Access tokens and configuration are stored locally in the rclone configuration and should be protected by the owner. Files may be transferred between that system and the connected Google Drive, as directed by the owner. This informational website does not collect OAuth tokens or receive Google Drive files.

Website data

This static website uses no analytics cookies, embedded trackers, or advertising scripts. The web-hosting provider may retain ordinary technical access and security logs.

Retention and deletion

The owner controls the local rclone configuration and all file operations. Access can be revoked at any time in Google Account connections, and local credentials can be removed from rclone. Files stored in Google Drive remain subject to the owner's own deletion and retention choices.
